Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services is seeking a dependable LPN or RN for weekend overnight coverage. The role covers Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, overseeing resident care, administering medications, monitoring conditions, and ensuring accurate documentation.

The candidate should hold a current LPN or RN license, have at least 1 year of nursing experience, and be capable of independent overnight work while providing safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee nursing care for residents on the assigned unit.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor residents' conditions, vital signs, comfort, and safety needs.
• Document progress notes and care-related records accurately.
• Receive and provide shift reports and follow up on resident care needs.
• Follow resident care plans and ensure CNAs follow established care approaches.
• Monitor CNA documentation and communicate resident care needs to staff.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.
• Participate in care planning, quality improvement activities, in-services, and staff meetings.
• Follow all applicable regulations and policies.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changing resident needs.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, therapists, and other care team members.
