Job summary

Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, is seeking a Surgical Technologist for weekend shifts (Saturday-Sunday, 6:40A-7:10pm) with a 30% weekend premium. The role involves selecting and handing instruments, assisting in surgeries, and mentoring staff.

A HS diploma and BLS are required; certification as a Surgical Technologist or 2–3 years of experience qualifies you. Full-time weekend option available; no call required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified Surgical Technologist or 2–3 years of surgical tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures and pull instruments and supplies.
• Assist with turnover between cases and stock replenishment.
• Scrub proficiently on at least two surgical specialties.
• Assist with training and orientation of staff and students.
