Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; current BLS certification.
• Certified as a surgical technologist OR 2–3 years of surgical tech experience.
• Must be able to scrub on at least two surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures and pull required instruments and supplies.
• Pass instruments, retract tissue, and assist with suturing as needed.
• Lead or participate in training and orientation of surgical technology staff.
• Assist with OR turnover between cases and stocking of supplies.
• Follow aseptic technique and safety procedures throughout procedures.
