Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; current BLS certification.
• Certification as a surgical technologist OR 2–3 years of surgical tech experience.
• Scrub proficient in at least two surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures; pull instruments and supplies; ensure instruments are in good working order.
• Anticipate surgeon needs; pass instruments and retract tissue.
• Demonstrate aseptic technique and universal precautions throughout procedures.
• Assist with OR turnover; stock supplies and maintain clean operating rooms.
