Job summary

Banner Staffing Services-AZ seeks a surgical technologist to scrub and pass instruments during surgeries at Banner Estrella Medical Center. The role requires proficiency in at least two surgical specialties and current BLS certification. Per diem hours and healthcare facilities experience are valued.

As part of a registry staffing model, you may be eligible for internal opportunities and must meet background checks and health requirements. Flexible schedules apply where available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified as a surgical technologist or 2–3 years of surgical technologist experience.
• Must scrub proficiently on a minimum of two surgical specialties.
• Must be registered with State Regulatory Agency where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures by pulling instruments and supplies; ensure instruments are in good working order.
• Anticipate surgeon needs; pass instruments and scrub in two surgical specialties.
• Maintain aseptic technique and proper disposal of sharps; assist with case cart processing.
