Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
• Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration; BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Experience: 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• BLS/CPR: BLS or CPR card required and valid through 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Preps surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment; assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician; tracks instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens for laboratory delivery.
• Works with critical thinking, decisive judgement, and can operate with minimal supervision.
