Job summary

Wright By Your Side In Home Care is seeking a Backup Coordinator to manage after-hours calls and staffing for in-home care clients. This part-time role covers weekends on-call with remote phone coverage and on-site fill-ins as needed.

You will take over calls when the primary supervisor is unavailable, document issues, and coordinate scheduling while ensuring timely support for staff and clients. On-call pay is $50 per day with $17/hour for shifts worked and mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Provide normal caregiver/CNA duties.

• Document visits and communications on the Call Log.

Position Type:

Reports To:

Location:

Remote phone coverage & on-site fill-in as needed

Salary:

Scheduled regularly two weekends a month on call; On-call base pay of $50 for each on-call day; Additional $17/hr for shifts physically worked: Compensation for mileage between patients at $.76/mile

Hours:

PRN/On call 24 hours Saturday & Sunday; Any additional PRN hours requested by employee (limit 2 call ins)

Purpose of the Position:

When the primary on-call supervisor is providing care in a client’s home or is otherwise temporarily unavailable, the Backup Coordinator will take over incoming calls, assist with staffing needs, communicate schedule changes, and document issues. This position helps ensure that employees and clients receive timely support while care continues without interruption.

Responsibilities:

• Normal caregiver/CNA responsibilities
• Maintain dependability and availability to pick up on call and last-minute shifts over designated weekend period
• Ability to work days, evenings, or nights on assigned weekends
• Must respond to and accept calls from caregivers or clients
• Must be available to be on site within 30-45 minutes of a call-in if shift is unfilled
• Document all visits and communications with clients and caregivers/CNAs on Call Log
• Adheres to and carries out all company policies and procedures
• Establishes and maintains constructive working relationships with coworkers, residents, and families

• Previous experience as a Scheduler, Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role is preferred
