Job summary

A Place At Home is seeking a dependable, compassionate Weekend On-Call Non-Medical Caregiver to provide in-home support to clients on a rotating weekend schedule. You will follow each client's care plan, assist with daily living tasks, offer companionship, and report changes to the office promptly.

The role requires 1 year of caregiving experience, reliable transportation, and strong communication. This position is on-site in-home care with a rotating weekend duty.

Qualifications

• 1 year caregiving experience.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet company and applicable state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-medical care and companionship to clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, as assigned.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping related to the client's care.
• Provide medication reminders as permitted by the care plan and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients.
• Follow each client's individualized care plan and service instructions.
• Communicate changes in a client's condition or needs promptly to the office staff.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA and company policies.
• Accept weekend fill-in assignments and respond promptly to on-call communication.
• Arrive on time and maintain reliable attendance.

This position will participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule, providing coverage and assistance when weekend staffing needs arise.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, non-medical care and companionship to clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, as assigned.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping related to the client's care.
• Provide medication reminders as permitted by the care plan and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients.
• Follow each client's individualized care plan and service instructions.
• Communicate changes in a client's condition or needs promptly to the appropriate office staff.

Weekend On-Call Expectations

• Maintain availability and communication with the office during agreed-upon on-call periods.
• Be willing to accept short-notice shifts.
• Provide timely confirmation when contacted regarding an available shift.
• Demonstrate flexibility when client schedules or staffing needs change.
• Notify the office as soon as possible if an emergency prevents you from accepting or completing an assignment.
