Newberry Health is seeking a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) for a weekend on-call role. The position requires RDMS/RVT/RDCS credentials, with on-call hours Friday 7:00 pm through Monday 7:00 am, providing diagnostic ultrasound services across multiple specialties.

The role emphasizes high-quality imaging, patient safety, and collaboration with physicians and nurses in a fast-paced clinical setting. PRN availability and strong technical knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
• Knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a call-only, PRN capacity.
• Flexibility to respond to call requests promptly and adapt to varying schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, vascular, and other areas as required.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for physician interpretation.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures with clear instructions and support.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of procedures and findings.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties, responding promptly to imaging requests as scheduled.
