Job summary

Newberry Health seeks a highly skilled Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS/RVT/RDCS) for an on-call only role in Newberry, SC. On-call hours are Monday through Monday 7pm-7am. You will perform ultrasound exams across multiple specialties, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety.

Requirements include proven ultrasound experience, RDMS/RVT/RDCS certification, and CPR. Strong communication and ability to work independently in a PRN capacity are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy and pathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a call-only, PRN capacity.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, vascular and other areas as required.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation by physicians.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures with clear instructions and support.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and findings.
• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties, responding promptly to imaging requests as scheduled.
