Job summary

Newberry County Memorial Hospital invites a skilled Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS/RVT/RDCS) to join our on-call team. This PRN role supports obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal and vascular imaging with monthly call rotation and a strong commitment to patient care.

You will perform ultrasound exams, operate equipment to obtain high-quality images, document findings accurately, and collaborate with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a call-only, PRN capacity.
• Current CPR certification and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS/RDCS) with vascular experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, vascular and other areas.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures with clear instructions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and findings.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS/RVT/RDCS)- As needed and rotation of Call each month

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS/RVT/RDCS) to join our Newberry Health team in our on-call only position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced sonographers to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical environment, providing essential diagnostic imaging services with flexibility and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties, including obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, vascular, and other areas as required.
• Accurately operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation by physicians.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear instructions and support.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of procedures and findings.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties, responding promptly to imaging requests as scheduled.
