Job summary

Newberry County Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS/RVT/RDCS) for an on-call position. On-call hours are Monday - Monday 7pm-7am, with imaging services across obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal and vascular exams.

The role requires strong ultrasound knowledge, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a PRN call-only capacity. CPR certification and compliance with healthcare regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience performing a wide range of ultrasound exams.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy and pathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a PRN call-only capacity.
• Current CPR certification and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• RDMS with RVT/RDCS credentials.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across multiple specialties.
• Operate equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Maintain thorough documentation of procedures and findings.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other staff.
