Job summary

Home Instead-Toledo, OH is seeking an On-Call Supervisor to manage and support caregivers and clients during weekend on-call hours. This remote role lets you handle all calls from a cell phone and may require signing up new clients if management is unavailable.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in home care, strong communication, and the ability to respond calmly under pressure, with flexibility for every other weekend. Transportation to client homes may be needed on occasion.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience in home care or a related field preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes if necessary.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend, starting Friday at 5:00 PM and ending Monday at 8:30 AM.
• Ability to manage all responsibilities from a cell phone without the need to report to a work site.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance to caregivers during on-call hours.
• Address urgent client or caregiver concerns, including last-minute scheduling changes, emergencies, or issues.
• Ensure all shifts are covered and coordinate replacements if necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all on-call activities and communication.
• Sign up new clients if management is not available.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and caregivers during on-call hours.
• Fill in as a care professional if a shift cannot be staffed due to a call-off.
• Communicate effectively with the management team regarding any significant issues that arise.
