Job summary

Harbor House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Weekend Nursing Supervisor to lead Saturdays and Sundays. Located in a welcoming neighborhood setting in Hingham, MA, the facility values compassionate, high-quality resident care.

The Weekend Nursing Supervisor will welcome new admissions, oversee discharges, supervise nurses and CNAs, manage staffing changes, and support families while coordinating referrals with central admissions.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid unencumbered RN or LPN license and CPR certification.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in hospital or long-term care; at least 1 year in LTC.
• Experience in supervision, teaching, and basic computer skills.
• Experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges.
• Supervise nurses and CNAs.
• Manage staffing changes.
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors.
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions.
• Ensure high quality resident/patient care.
• Provide support to ancillary staff as needed.

Requirements for Weekend Nursing Supervisor:

• Must possess valid unencumbered, LPN or RN State License and current CPR certification
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting. Must have minimum of one year experience in long term care.
• Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
