Job summary

The Bostonian Nursing Care & Rehabilitation Center in Dorchester, MA is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to oversee weekend staffing and ensure high-quality resident care across shifts.

You will welcome admissions and supervise nurses and CNAs, manage staffing changes, assist families, coordinate referrals with admissions, and support the care team with rehabilitative nursing practices.

This role requires MA licensure and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid MA nursing license and CPR certification.
• RN preferred; LPN acceptable with RN consideration.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college.
• Two years clinical nursing experience; at least one year in long-term care.
• Experience in supervision and teaching; proficient with computer systems.
• Experience in rehabilitative/restorative nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new admissions and oversee discharges.
• Supervise nurses and CNAs.
• Manage staffing changes.
• Support family inquiries and screen visitors.
• Coordinate patient/resident referrals with central admissions.
• Ensure high-quality resident/patient care.

Requirements for Nursing Supervisor:

• Must possess valid unencumbered, LPN/RN MA License and current CPR certification
• Registered Nurse (preferred)
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
• Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience within a hospital, nursing care center or other related healthcare setting. Must have minimum of one year experience in long-term care.
• Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, and computer skills.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
