Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required
• Passing score on Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination approved by HHS (HEW) required
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently
• Adheres to quality control procedures and analyzes data
• Conducts instrument function checks and preventive maintenance
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel
• Ensures safety regulations and PPE usage
• Communicates results and issues with healthcare staff
• Assists with proficiency testing and regulatory data collection
• Collects urine drug screens and performs phlebotomy duties as needed
• Collaborates with team to complete shift duties efficiently
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned
