Job summary

Wellstar Health System at Columbia County Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory professional for night shift. The position offers full-time hours (40 per week) with a sign-on bonus eligibility.

You will perform clinical lab testing, maintain equipment and records, and participate in QA and proficiency activities. Responsibilities include accurate reporting of lab data, adherence to turnaround times, and contributing to performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Medical Science required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Certifications required at hire (MT(ASCP)/MLS etc.) upon hire unless stated otherwise.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing according to approved protocols.
• Maintain instrumentation and records; perform QA activities.
• Participate in proficiency testing and competency assessments.
• Report lab data accurately within established turnaround times.
• Possible supervision and teaching within the laboratory setting.
