Job summary

Columbia County Medical Center, part of Wellstar Health System, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist for the FT Night shift. You will perform clinical testing, ensure QA and competency, and maintain instruments in a fast-paced lab.

Sign-on bonus eligible and strict adherence to lab policies are required. The role demands strong accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to analyze and report lab results within established turnaround times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Science required.
• All certifications must be obtained at hire unless stated otherwise.
• Experience with QA, proficiency testing, and laboratory regulatory standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing under supervision per protocols.
• Maintain instrumentation and record-keeping for tests.
• Participate in quality assurance and proficiency testing.
• Communicate results accurately within turnaround times and to the appropriate team.
