Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field required
• Passing score on CLT Proficiency exam approved by HHS (HEW) required
• 0-2 years of acute care experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
• Adheres to quality control procedures and analyzes data to troubleshoot results.
• Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoots instrument malfunctions and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Complies with safety regulations and Laboratory Safety Plan.
• Communicates test results and issues to staff and supervisors.
• Collects and processes specimens as needed and supports patient care activities.
