Job summary

East Georgia Regional Medical Center seeks a Medical Technologist I for the Weekend Nights shift (Fri–Sun, 7 pm–7:30 am). You will perform routine and high-complexity tests to ensure accurate results and support patient care under supervision.

Responsibilities include instrument maintenance, QC procedures, data collection for regulatory compliance, and phlebotomy as needed; teaching responsibilities may arise.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• Requires passing score on Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency exam (HEW).
• 0–2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate/high complexity lab tests with accurate reporting.
• Follow QC procedures and troubleshoot data; document actions.
• Maintain instrument checks and preventative maintenance per policy.
