Job summary

U.S. Xpress is seeking a Fleet Dispatcher for weekend nights at the Tunnel Hill USX Terminal. The role supports drivers during evenings to ensure loads are delivered safely and on time, handling calls, chats, and emails and dispatching needed resources.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform under pressure. A HS diploma and 3+ years in driving/ops/customer experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years driving experience, and/or operations, and/or customer experience required.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide drivers with support during evening and weekend hours to ensure loads are delivered safely and on time.
• Answer incoming phone calls, live chats, and emails to assist drivers with delays and issues.
• Fuel and route drivers while promoting safety.
• Dispatch resources (driver, truck, trailer) for immediate needs.
• Resolve driver issues using strong thinking to solve problems.
• Monitor loads and inform customers of changes or delays.
• Ensure on-time delivery by resolving load targets.
• Communicate professionally with customers, operations, drivers, and leadership.
• Assist with emergencies and support company policies as needed.
