Job summary

U.S. Xpress is seeking a Fleet Dispatcher for THL weekend days to provide essential driver support during Saturday, Sunday, and select weekdays.

Job includes coordinating loads, routing trailers, and resolving issues to ensure on-time deliveries from the Tunnel Hill terminal. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in driving, operations, or customer experience, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide drivers with necessary support during evening and/or weekend hours so that drivers can deliver loads safely and on time.
• Answering incoming phone calls, live chats, and emails to assist drivers with delays, service issues, trailers, payroll, and whatever else they may need.
• Fuel and route Drivers while promoting the safety of drivers.
• Dispatch necessary resources to take care of immediate issues.
• Resolve driver issues utilizing your best critical thinking skills to solve problems for drivers.
• Monitor loads and resolve issues that may affect delivery/pickup times; proactively inform customers and/or accounts of changes.
• Resolve load targets and ensure on time delivery.
• Communicate effectively with Customers, Operations Drivers, and leadership.
• Respond to drivers and terminal needs and assist with emergencies.
• Support company policies and keep drivers compliant with timelines.
• Keep drivers rolling by ensuring PTAs, trailer solutions, BPMs, appointments, and home time guidelines.
