Job summary

U.S. Xpress is seeking a Fleet Dispatcher for weekend days to provide robust support to drivers during evenings and weekends. The role ensures loads are delivered safely and on time, handling calls and emails to resolve delays and issues.

Responsibilities include dispatching resources, maintaining safety, and monitoring loads to inform customers of changes while upholding company policies and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide drivers with necessary support during evening and/or weekend hours so that drivers can deliver loads safely and on time.
• Answer incoming phone calls, live chats, and emails to assist drivers with delays, service issues, trailers, payroll, and whatever else they may need.
• Fuel and route drivers while promoting the safety of drivers.
• Dispatch necessary resources (driver, truck, trailer) to take care of immediate issues.
• Resolve driver issues using critical thinking to solve out-of-the-box problems for drivers.
• Monitor loads and inform customer accounts of changes to delivery/pickup times.
