Job summary

Lehigh Heavy Forge Corporation in Appleton, WI is seeking a CNC Machinist/Machine Operator to operate the vertical turning centers for aerospace forgings in a clean, climate-controlled shop. This weekend nights role (Fri–Sun, 5pm–5am) includes training on state-of-the-art equipment and a pathway to advanced precision machining.

You will work with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure parts meet drawings and customer specs, while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a transferrable industry.
• Ability to read instructions and perform simple measurements.
• Basic reading, math, and measurement comprehension.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Receives work instructions, setup sheets, and check sheets.
• Reads and interprets dimension drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Uses drawings to determine dimensions, travels and tolerances.
• Oversees machining centers for forgings in super alloys with engineering support.
• Uses precision measuring devices to verify dimensions and finishes.
• Loads and unloads pieces using an overhead hoist.
• Exhibits care in handling material before and after machining.
