Job summary

GE Vernova in the United States is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to inspect, repair, calibrate and upgrade complex automated manufacturing and QA systems, including mechanical, electronic, and microprocessor-based equipment.

The role involves a weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 7 AM–7 PM) and requires the ability to read and interpret schematics, diagnose problems, and document procedures. Training and audits are conducted to ensure safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 5 years in maintenance or fabrication of related industrial equipment.
• Associate degree in electronics/instrumentation or equivalent training with 3 years relevant experience.
• At least 2 years troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical/electronic/electro-mechanical control equipment.
• Experience reading drawings, schematics, ladder logic, manuals and symbol schematics.
• Experience with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and programmable power supplies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on automated systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot computer hardware, software and peripherals; document changes.
• Use test equipment and software to troubleshoot hardware/software problems.
• Provide training and diagnostic assistance to team members.
• Install or modify equipment and update documentation.
• Follow safety regulations and perform housekeeping and safe tasks.

Education

High school diploma / GED with 5 years of experience in maintenance or fabrication of related industrial equipment

Technical school associate degree in electronics, instrumentation, or micro-electronic solid-state technology
