Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist for weekend shifts in Massachusetts, covering Friday to Sunday with alternating holidays. The role involves traveling to client facilities, primarily nursing homes, to collect specimens under supervision, ensuring patient identification and proper labeling.

The ideal candidate holds a state phlebotomy license (if required), a valid driver’s license, and demonstrates strong safety practices, communication, and reliability on a mobile route.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid State phlebotomy license (if required).
• Must have a current, valid State Driver’s license; vehicle in good working condition.
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture techniques.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations and specimen handling.
• Ability to maintain sterile, sanitary conditions and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Drives to client facilities, typically nursing homes, per dispatcher.
• Unloads phlebotomy tray and collects samples at patient bedside as ordered.
• Identifies patient accurately before specimen collection.
• Labels, processes, and delivers specimens to the lab.
• Reloads equipment and maintains vehicle readiness for routes.
• Communicates status and location with dispatcher and completes records.
• Maintains compliance with universal precautions and safety policies.
• Reports unsafe conditions and inventory shortages as needed.
• Maintains time records and adheres to schedule.
