TridentCare is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist in Enfield, CT to provide clinical pre-analytical laboratory services at client sites, primarily nursing homes. You will complete assigned routes safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate specimen collection and proper documentation.

The role requires a current phlebotomy license (if required), a valid driver’s license with insurance, and the ability to work a full-time schedule with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifikationen

• Current, valid State phlebotomy license (if required)
• Valid State Driver’s license; car insurance; good driving record; own vehicle in good condition
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using vacutainer and syringe techniques
• Knowledge of laboratory operations and maintaining sterile, sanitary conditions

Aufgaben

• Drives vehicle to client facilities, typically nursing homes, as directed by dispatcher
• Unloads phlebotomy tray and collects samples at patient bedside as ordered by physician
• Identify patients accurately before collecting specimens
• Collect, label, process and deliver specimens obtained from patients
• Reloads equipment and supplies into vehicle for prompt delivery
• Communicate with dispatcher to report status and location
• Follow Universal Precautions to prevent exposure to blood-borne pathogens
• Maintain required certifications and health requirements
• Keep work area clean and report unsafe conditions or issues
• Record time worked and submit times as directed
• Follows specimen preservation and patient preparation procedures as written
• Operate in a mobile setting with safety and compliance at all times
• On-call evenings and weekends may be required to cover workload
