Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist/Medical Courier to perform specimen collection at patient bedside and transport samples from nursing facilities. The role requires a valid phlebotomy license (where applicable), a current driver's license, and a clean driving record.

You will travel on a Friday–Sunday shift, ensuring accuracy in patient identification, proper labeling, and safe transport of samples.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interaction with patients and staff.
• Phlebotomy skills including venipuncture and skin puncture.
• Must hold a current, valid State phlebotomy license, if applicable.
• Must hold a current, valid State Driver’s license with car insurance and good driving record.
• Proficient in venipuncture and skin puncture using vacutainer or syringe.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client facilities (e.g., nursing homes) and deliver phlebotomy supplies.
• Collect samples at patient bedside as ordered by physician.
• Identify patients accurately before collection of specimens.
• Label, process, and deliver specimens promptly to the lab.
• Reload equipment and maintain supplies in vehicle for daily routes.
• Communicate status and location to dispatcher regularly.
• Maintain universal precautions to prevent infection and exposure.
