Job summary

Fortress Nutrition is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our high-speed Beverage Canning operations on the Weekend Shift. You’ll troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment to minimize downtime and keep production running in real time.

Schedule: Fri–Sun, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM with 3 days worked and 40 hours paid. Training Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM–5:30 PM, with hands-on sessions. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing on high-speed equipment (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar preferred).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and be on‑call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment using mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Respond quickly to production line calls and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Support product setups, changeovers, and general production operations.
• Monitor equipment for unusual sounds, movements, or performance issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Disassemble and repair equipment, replacing defective parts as required.
• Perform minor facility repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and regulatory standards (OSHA, FDA, EPA, etc.).
• Provide support and guidance to production teams when needed.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures at all times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
