Job summary

Fortress Nutrition is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our high-speed Beverage Canning operations on 1st shift. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, keeping production running, and minimizing downtime.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to line calls, coordinate with vendors, and ensure GMP, HACCP, OSHA/EPA standards. Strong mechanical and electrical skills and reliability are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and on-call.
• Experience with high-speed packaging equipment and PLCs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment using mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Respond quickly to production line calls and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Support product setups, changeovers, and general production operations.
• Monitor equipment for unusual sounds, movements, or performance issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Disassemble and repair equipment, replacing defective parts as required.
• Perform minor facility repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and regulatory standards (OSHA, FDA, EPA).
• Provide support and guidance to production teams when needed.
