Job summary

Fortress Nutrition is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our high-speed beverage canning operations on 2nd shift. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment to keep lines running efficiently, with a 4x10 schedule and built-in 3-day weekends.

This role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, GMP/HACCP awareness, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with production teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in industrial manufacturing on high-speed equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must be reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment using mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Respond quickly to production line calls and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Support product setups, changeovers, and general production operations.
• Monitor equipment for unusual sounds, movements, or performance issues.
• Disassemble and repair equipment, replacing defective parts as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and regulatory standards (OSHA, FDA, EPA).
• Provide support and guidance to production teams when needed.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures at all times.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
