Job summary

Forrest Logistics LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Weekend Account Manager to own shipments from start to finish, Friday through Monday, and coordinate with carriers and drivers to keep freight on schedule. You will resolve issues in real time, communicate updates to customers, and protect service levels through proactive planning and rate/capacity negotiations.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in logistics, strong communication skills, and experience with TMS systems.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in logistics/transportation.
• Drayage/port experience is a plus.
• Ownership mentality and accountability.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication with customers, carriers and internal teams.
• Experience updating TMS and reporting.
• Customer service or operational experience in transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own real time problem resolution for weekend freight.
• Check appointment availability and schedule pickups/deliveries.
• Provide updates to customers and partner carriers.
• Serve as weekend contact for client inquiries.
• Negotiate rates and capacity with carriers to protect service levels.
• Coordinate with Forrest Transportation drivers and dispatch.
• Track equipment and asset visibility.
• Update orders in the Transportation Management System (TMS).
• Send weekend activity reports and follow-up items.
• Manage yard equipment inventory.
• Recover PODs and ensure documentation is complete.
• Prepare pass-down notes for week start.
