Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a Weekend Life Enrichment Coordinator in Topeka, KS. The role supports development, implementation, and oversight of a comprehensive life enrichment program, planning activities that foster social engagement, physical and cognitive stimulation, creativity, and emotional well-being.

The coordinator partners with residents, families, and staff to reflect resident interests and life stories, promoting health, purpose, and joy in daily life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Driver's license with ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based platforms, and electronic health records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling and leading community activities programs, holidays, and events.
• Introduce new residents and their families to the life enrichment programs.
• Assist in coordinating holiday decoration displays for the community.
• Contribute to resident assessments by assisting in Life Stories.
• Assist in taking activity attendance and family messaging in Cedarhurst's electronic platform.
• Attend monthly virtual education meetings provided by Home Office Support.
• Drive community bus for outings and appointments as needed.
• Ensure effective communication with residents' families regarding care and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with management and teammates, and manage conflicts as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
