Job summary

Pratt & Whitney at RTX Columbus Engine Center seeks a Weekend Shift Mechanic to overhaul, repair and assemble jet engines. You will work in a hands-on team, restoring engines to peak performance and reliability for commercial and military aircraft.

Role requires a High School diploma or GED, and preferred A&P license with hands-on turbine engine experience. Onsite role with strong safety and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• A&P license or Powerplant certificate preferred.
• Experience in overhaul/repair of aviation engines and related subsystems.
• Hands-on disassembly, inspection, assembly and turbine engine test operations.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma processes and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain turbine engine, engine module or component per instructions.
• Disassemble/assemble using hand tools and fixtures, test as required.
• Ensure all work meets safety, quality and delivery standards.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals on weekend shift.
