Pembroke Hospital is seeking a Mental Health Associate to join its inpatient behavioral health team. This full-time role includes day, evening, or overnight shifts with competitive weekend differentials and the potential for 32 or 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
• College student pursuing degree in behavioral health, psychology, or human services are preferred
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Impeccable Judgment & professionalism
• Ability to maintain composure in a crisis situation

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
• Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
• Assist with patient groups and activities
• With proper training, you will work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs
• You will be trained on psychiatric group processes, age-specific care, trauma informed care, therapeutic boundaries, crisis intervention techniques, and CPR
