Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional who will work in a single program, supporting 4–6 individuals in residential settings or up to 10 in periodic programs. Responsibilities include socialization, daily living activities, health maintenance, medication administration, and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Working knowledge of computers is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support within a program, assisting 4–6 individuals in residential settings or up to 10 in periodic programs.
• Assist with socialization, health maintenance, and activities of daily living.
• Support with transportation, shopping, recreation and community integration.
• Assist with medication administration as assigned and document activities.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Six months of experience in human services

Must be 18 years of age

Working knowledge of computers
