Job summary

REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide person-centered care in residential settings. You will help individuals with daily living tasks, health maintenance, and community integration.

Position Type: Non-exempt, full-time or part-time, hourly role. Join a mission-driven team, receive orientation and ongoing training, and contribute to meaningful outcomes for adults with developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience in human services preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Directly supports individuals per service plans, including socialization and health maintenance.
• Documentation: accurately records progress and activity and maintains confidentiality.
• Assist with daily activities: personal care, housekeeping, transportation, shopping, and community integration.
• Manage assets within the individual's budget and preferences.
• Maintain safe, respectful relationships with individuals and families; follow policy.
• Report incidents of abuse, medical or behavioral issues per policy.
• Ensure safety and rights by following universal precautions and confidentiality.

Skills
