Mass General Brigham is seeking a Unit Coordinator for Blake 12 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Saturdays and Sundays, 16 hours weekly. This role provides administrative support to clinicians, coordinates patient flow, and liaises with nursing to manage admissions, discharges and transfers for an 18-bed adult unit at 273 Charles Street, Boston.

Qualification requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent (Associate’s Degree preferred) and 2–3 years of healthcare administrative experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate’s Degree Related Field of Study preferred.
• Two to three years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to handle confidential information are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs clerical duties to assist in the general administration of the unit.
• Greets and interacts with patients, families, visitors and coworkers professionally.
• Manages information at the central nursing station and throughout the unit.
• Enters admissions, discharges and transfers into the EMR accurately and timely.
• Coordinates with ancillary departments to obtain equipment, services and supplies.
• May assist with payroll duties or scheduling of staff.
