Job summary

IHOP is seeking a Host/Hostess to greet guests, seat them promptly, and assist with To-Go orders. You will answer phones, manage wait lists, and provide menu recommendations while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

The role requires good communication, the ability to stand for long periods, and the flexibility to work in shifts. Prior hosting experience is a plus in a busy restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills.
• Able to lift 25-50 pounds.
• Stand for up to 8 hours.
• Flexible and ready to work in shifts.
• Prior host experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greeting, seating, and escorting guests.
• Opens door for guests arriving and departing.
• Accommodates special needs (boosters, highchairs, disabilities).
• Process To-Go and Delivery Orders.
• Manage wait list when restaurant is busy.
• Provide menu recommendations and information.
• Upsell additional products when appropriate.
• Take orders using software, order slips, or by memorization.
• Communicate order details to kitchen staff.
• Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant.
• Provide exceptional customer experience.
