Job summary

IHOP is seeking a Host/Hostess at our Walnut Creek location to warmly greet guests, seat them promptly, answer phones, and handle To-Go orders. You will stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and multitask in a fast-paced environment while ensuring a friendly guest experience.

Responsibilities include managing wait lists, taking orders, upselling items, and coordinating with kitchen staff. Flexible shifts and extensive training are offered.

Responsibilities

• Greeting, seating, and escorting guests.
• Opens door for guests arriving and departing.
• Accommodates special needs (boosters, highchairs, disabilities).
• Process To-Go and Delivery Orders
• Manage Wait List when restaurant is busy
• Provide menu recommendations and upsell items
• Take orders using software, slips, or memory
• Communicate order details to kitchen staff
• Deliver food and beverages promptly to guests
• Deliver checks and collect payments
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant
• Provide exceptional customer experience.
