Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care and homemaker services in patients' homes within the Central / Downtown Boston area. The role follows a weekend Baylor schedule (Sat & Sun, 8a-8p) with 24 hours of work paid as 32 hours.

You will support patients under the IDT plan of care, ensuring safety and comfort. Responsibilities include hygiene, mobility assistance, medication cuing, meal support, vital signs, infection control, and reporting status

Qualifications

• Valid MA Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification OR Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate required

Responsibilities

• The Hospice Aide provides compassionate personal care and homemaker services for patients when appropriate and maintains a safe and healthy environment as directed by the IDT plan of care.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene and grooming (shower, tub or bed baths; mouth, skin, nails, hair care).
• Assist patients to use toilet facilities (bed pans).
• Monitor skin and provide care to prevent pressure ulcers; observe changes and report.
