Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring a Home Health Aide to provide in-home care under the Hospice/CHHA framework. The role includes assisting with ADLs, monitoring nutrition and hydration, helping with mobility, medication reminders, and basic health monitoring, in patients' homes, group homes, or assisted living settings.

This full-time day-shift position requires completing HHA training (60 hours prior 8/14/90 or 75 hours after) and verification of prior Medicare/Medicaid CHHA employment.

Qualifications

• Completion of 60hr HHA training in DPH approved program.
• Completion of 75hrs HHA training following HCFA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintains awareness of client's physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
• Promotes client's self participation in ADL's where appropriate.
• Enhances client's muscular use by providing proper body alignment.
• Transfers clients per care plan.
• Performs bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, and monitoring variations of the client's physical baseline.
• Ensures adequate nutrition and hydration; assists with feeding when indicated.
• Assists with elimination needs and use of commodes or bedpans.
• Reports changes and supports emotional well-being; collaborates with Hospice Interdisciplinary Team.
