Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking an Admissions Specialist to gather patient financial and demographic information, verify benefits, and explain financial obligations at the point of admission. You will work Fridays through Sundays daytime, interacting with patients and coworkers to ensure accurate records and smooth processes.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year of customer service experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifikationen

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate Upon Hire preferred
• Strong written, oral, and telephone communication skills.
• General knowledge of medical terminology preferred
• Ability to type 35 WPM corrected for errors preferred

Aufgaben

• Gather complete financial and demographic information to ensure medical records/billing flows.
• Obtain and/or update verification of benefits and pre-certification for tests/procedures.
• Explain and obtain signatures on applicable legal, ethical, and compliance documents; maintain documentation.
• Identify insurance carrier and benefits to maximize reimbursement; notify carriers of admissions timely.
• Explain financial obligations to patients; collect co-pays, self-pay deposits, and balances to reduce Accounts Receivable.
• Stay compliant with regulations and company policies; meet customer service and productivity guidelines.
