Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1 year in customer service, and healthcare/office experience preferred. Training in CHAA and CPI is desirable. On-site, full-time with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of relevant customer service experience required.
• 2 years of professional office/healthcare experience preferred.
• CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access AssociateUpon Hire preferred.
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and families, setting a calm tone for the visit.
• Gathers demographic information for electronic health records with accuracy.
• Obtains and validates healthcare benefits and pre-certification for tests and procedures to maximize reimbursement.
• Educates patients on legal, ethical, and compliance documents; ensures informed consents are signed.
• Assesses financial obligations and prepares estimates for co-pays, self-pay deposits, and balances.
• Ensures MSPQ, IMM, and ABN requirements are completed correctly.
• Stays compliant with systems, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains customer service and productivity guidelines.
• Mentors peers and supports change initiatives.
• Participates in staff meetings and process improvements.
