Job summary

Louisiana Children’s Museum in New Orleans seeks a Group Experience Coordinator to manage logistics for birthday parties and school field trips, coordinating scheduling, communications, and on-site guest services.

You will welcome groups, lead rotations, supervise weekend birthday experiences, collaborate with catering and vendors, ensure policy adherence, and track attendance and bookings while providing outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Minimum 1 year of database management experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in event coordination, planning, or hospitality.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children and/or families.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Must be available to work weekends and after-hours events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all logistics for birthday parties and field trip group visits.
• Schedule, correspondence, and clear communication with parents, educators, and museum staff.
• Welcome groups upon arrival, provide orientations, facilitate rotations, and act as on-site liaison.
• Lead weekend birthday experiences, overseeing check-in, coordinating communications and payments, and working with catering and party hosts.
• Collaborate with the Visitor Services team to ensure booking documentation is received before group arrival.
• Draft and send pre- and post-visit communications promptly and professionally.
• Ensure groups understand and comply with reservation policies.
• Track birthday, field trip, and membership statistics.
