Job summary

Douglas Dynamics is seeking a Fabrication Team Lead for the Weekend shift to join our team and help drive continued success in the fabrication unit, including laser and press break environments.

You will oversee and coordinate operations, support a total quality culture, train shop floor associates, uphold 5S standards, and ensure TPM records. This role requires leadership, safety focus, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic lean concepts.
• DDMS experience, minimum one year within the organization, prior leadership.
• Manufacturing background.
• Ability to train others and perform root cause analysis.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate operations in the Fabrication unit; work in laser and press break environments.
• Lead safety, quality, and TPM records; train and audit shop floor associates.
• Address Andon calls and production issues; adjust priorities.
• Monitor production pace and schedule attainment; support continuous improvement.
• Schedule Sunday-Friday and Saturday; participate in Kaizen and 3P events.
