Job summary

Douglas Dynamics is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support design, fabrication, assembly and qualification of fixtures and tools for our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with shop floor teams, ensure safety, lead 5S discipline, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring welding and machining skills, ability to read drawings, and experience with forklifts/scissor lifts. This role offers growth within a premier manufacturer of truck attachments.

Qualifications

• Requires up to three years of related experience; or HS diploma with three to five years of related experience.
• Knowledge of welding, metal fabrication and machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate and install fixtures and tools for manufacturing processes.
• Monitor safe use of equipment in the MFGE Tech Lab and provide training as needed.
• Lead by example to uphold 5S standards in the lab and maintain a clean workspace.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on projects and improvements.
• Support manufacturing initiatives and problem solve with teams.
