Job summary

Emerus, the leader in small-format hospitals, is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to perform the primary functions of nursing: assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care. The role supports our 20-bed facility with a focus on ED patients.

This full-time weekend position requires 2+ years of ER experience, active RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and English fluency. Schedule: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 7am–7pm, with weekend differential and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• 2+ years ER or similar experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency is required; clear written and spoken communication.
• PA-specific clearances as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Maintain accurate, concise documentation in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders and provide evidence-based nursing care.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Perform admissions, discharges and transfers as needed.
• Prepare equipment and assist with procedures in the ER.
