Job summary

Emerus seeks an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care in the ED. Responsibilities include documentation, observation of patient status and adherence to infection control protocols.

The role requires an Associate degree (BSN preferred), active RN license, 2+ years ER experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and PA clearances if applicable. Night/weekend differentials, 401K match, referral bonuses, and free parking are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in the state, without sanctions.
• 2+ years of full-time ER or comparable experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• PA candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances completed or obtainable prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide age-specific nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Document medical records accurately and legibly.
• Monitor and record patient signs, symptoms, and status.
• Follow physician orders and adapt interventions as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Prepare and transfer patients, assemble equipment for procedures.
