Job summary

Emerus is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to assess, plan, direct and evaluate patient care with a focus on safe, age-appropriate nursing practice in a small-format hospital.

This full-time weekend shift position, Fri-Sun 7am-7pm, offers weekend differentials, free parking and 401(k) matched benefits. PA-licensed RNs with BLS/ACLS/PALS are required, with Act 33/73 clearances as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current state RN licensure without sanctions.
• 2+ years ER or equivalent full-time RN experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency in written and spoken form.
• Pennsylvania candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances completed or to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, skilled nursing care in the ER.
• Complete accurate, legible medical documentation.
• Observe and document signs, symptoms and patient status.
• Follow physician orders and plan interventions accordingly.
• Collect lab samples and perform tests per policy and COLA/CLIA rules.
• Ensure infection control and confidentiality at all times.
• Handle admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for procedures; support team.
